Where is the cheapest place i can buy Windows 7?
A while ago a nice guy gave me a code but i have since lost the PM
Thanks!
The cheapest place I could find it for was at outlet PC for $89
Windows 7

Windows 8

I'd get 8, lot more features and bonuses and if you really hate metro just get start8 for an extra $5 and call it a day. That and it boots up MUCH faster than 7, with 7 my boot up time from start to finish was about 30 seconds and now it is about 13.

I much prefer 7 personally.

I was merely giving a suggestion, not telling him which to get.
isn't w8 much cheaper to buy than w7?
Windows 8 is garbage.

I was about to ask if you joined just to post this, but then I noticed the join date. ruined a perfectly good comeback.
Anyways, welcome to the world of posting on facepunch.

WINDOWS 7 AND WINDOWS 8 EACH HAVE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES. NEITHER IS BETTER.
Don't turn this thread into a battleground.

Windows 8 IS better other than the start bar, it uses less resources and everything opens faster and there is a lot more hardware optimization to it. That and you get the features of W7 ultimate with W8 premium for the same price as home professional W7
[editline]1st March 2013[/editline]
That and the boot times with UEFI BIOS is insane, my old boot times with W7 was about 30 seconds on my mechanical drive, now its about 13.

Again, only a mere suggestion. You can get whatever you are comfortable with.
Don't Win8 keys also activate Win7 installs as well? (So pretty much just get 8, if this is the case, looking into it atm)
edit: I heard this worked a while back when they were selling win8 pro for $40, I don't think it works any more, or it just might be restricted to pro, idk.
Actually, to be fair, I used 8 on a tablet and fell in love with it. I then tried it on a desktop and I hated it.

All ya need is start8

Don't hang me up on this. But isn't Windows 7 way better for games and such?
- When I say that, I'm thinking of Windows Eight, would it even install, start and play with better?
I'd go with Windows 7, I've got professional myself

In short, Windows 8 faster and therafore better, the only thing that people keep complaining is about how the start menu looks... Seems like people haven't even tried it. Heck, my mom likes Win8 and she told me that she's surprised about how little you even use the start menu.

By the looks of my votes, it look's like I'm all wrong. :v:
- I've never tried Windows Eight myself, but 128 bit sounds somewhat insane ( I love it ) - I've heard about the start thing, to be honest I think it gives you a great overview, and I love big Icons. So Windows Eight is definitely something I'd go with.
I just got Win7 pro because of my brothers education.

128 bit?
If you ask me get windows 8 later on when more drivers has came out and more software is compatable with it or you will just regret it.

Mention 2 drivers that aren't supported which doesn't have anything to do with something made in 2004
128 bit?
128 bit OS.
You know like there's 64 bit & 32 bit which is the current standard.

Windows 8 is 64-bit... Do you even know how capable 64-bit is?
(also, I'm quite sure there is no such thing as a 128-bit OS.. It would require some major adjustments to CPU's as well)

you do realize that article is from October 2009 right
128-bit processing would be essentially pointless.
- What have I started.. @HolyCrapaWalRus No, I didn't realize that :v:
