So a few weeks ago, on the 11th of march, we had a lightning strike hit the phone lines. This fried out modem, one of our phone and one of our filters.
We got a new modem on sunday as the one that was hit by lightning finally packed in and refused to work. With the new one, a netgear N600, it worked fine for a day. Suddenly, this afternoon we started to have the dropouts again. We might get a connection for 10 seconds then it will drop out for a minute or two, come back, repeat. The longest it has stayed connected is 50 minutes in that time. I have removed all phones from the phone lines. At one point while on a call to my ISP with the landline, the net was working. From this, it looked like having that particular phone plugged in made it work. Around 20 minutes ago it started to drop out again from me browsing Facepunch. Disconnected the phone, same issue.
I have been on the phone to my ISP as well as Telstra (owner of all phone lines) about the issue. My ISP told me that we would always be connected for the 20 days until the connection automatically resets. Since the 11th of march we have had over 7000 drop outs. The longest connection being 13 hours. Before we call out anyone to the house, is there anything else I could try and get it to work. As I don't want to be stuck on phone tethering until it is fixed.

It is currently dropping out, as I can see the internet light on the modem turn on and off, even though I am not using it.
