Sooner than expected. I'm surprised.
I hope they're actually upgrading their engine to be more optimized. It looks decent at times, but GTAIV just looks ugly at times as well.
At this rate, who knows? First there were rumors of the very existence of GTA V. Then there were rumors that it would be taking place again in Los Santos.
There were multiple occasions where "GTA V" would appear on various resumes before the surprise announce.
The current instance of "Oct 2012 - GTA V", and a "backup" from various other... sources.... who knows?
Needless to say we should be getting any info on it fairly soon, I'm sure of it.
If it is going to be in October I want it to be the 18th or just before as that is my birthday.
Looking forward to trying it out on the PC in October 2013.

The look of it just felt very stale and ugly after a while to me.

I have high hopes. RDR looked very good, even on the 360.
No god Dammit. Borderlands 2, FarCry 3, Bioshock Infinite, and AssCreed 3 all within 2 months, I don't want GTA V to join that mix.
My head is spinning with joy and shock.
Do it RS, I want to relive SA again.
I was actually surprised to see, in the latest issue of PC Gamer, it had a release date of October. There may be some truth in this.
Whenever it comes it'll probably be an insta-buy for me.
Yesssss
I was sad when I thought we'd be waiting ages

A worthy way to go
I WANT TO FUCKING BELIEVE
If it comes out in october I'll actually have the money to buy it when it comes out
This is a list of the contents of my wallet in September:
1.) Driver's license

I never really looked around while driving at all, like I did in San Andreas. There were maybe one or two places I liked to drive for fun, and then a few landmarks that would catch my eye. I can't wait until I am blowing through Los Santos alleys on a PCJ with the cops on my tail again.
Damn, look at that guys resume. So many mediocre titles and bam out of nowhere GTA V. Finally he got to work on something what doesn't suck.
Anyways, oct 2012 is actually a fairly realistic release date, considering how GTA V was announced way back in nov 2011.
all of those dumb rumors before this just got proven wrong

Yeah and every GTA game except for IV was released in October. IV was supposed to be October 2007 but they had obviously delayed it.
I guess development started pretty early? I mean, it's a big game with lots of shit in it, if they are really ready for October release, then yeah go ahead.

They probably started right after they did IV. North did RDR too but I'm sure there was always at least someone working on GTA V.

Maybe it was the city itself, I couldn't memorize this map for shit, unlike all the other GTA titles. I knew those cities better than I know my own.
I'm going to be all over the collector's edition when they announce it.

If they do something like they did for IV with the 'key to the city' thing, me and my friend are determined to do it.
For those who don't know what I mean:

I remember reading about that and I just figured that I would rather play the game at my own pace instead of rushing to 100% it.
Still, it would be really cool to own one of those.
I wish they released the PC version alongside with the console versions, but, I doubt RS will do that.
