• Does Gmod need EVERY game?

I have all the source games installed and majority of them take up space. Does Gmod need all of them installed or can I just delete them and still use the models and maps?
This would do better in the Garry's Mod Discussion section. And no, you NEED the games installed to use them in Garry's Mod (and own them legally of course).
-snip- :ninja: Having the others helps too, though, particularly Episode 2 and CS:S.
I do own all of them legally, but is there a way to just have the models and maps load in Gmod without the other games engines or folders?
Nope
You do need to have all the models/maps on your computer somewhere to use them, since Gmod just accesses them, it doesn't actually have them.
What's the game with the least worth? Like having no good models or just uses repeats.
Just GMod and HL2 would use the least amount of space, if that's what you mean. Scratch that, looks like it's a toss-up between DoD: Source and Portal.
I've got Half-Life 2, Deathmatch, Ep1, Ep2, Lost Coast, Half-Life: Source, Deathmatch: Source, and CSS installed. Which Half-Life games have the least useful models? Also, do I need CSS to use the guns?
If you must choose, keep HL2 and CS:S
It helps.
You don't need Deathmatch: Source, that has no new models AFAIK. HL: Source and Lost Coast are also not required. Nobody uses the Lost Coast models at all.
Get a hard drive over 30 gigs for one. and keep CS:S
Most servers you come across will have the default HL2 models, as well as CS:S. It's kind of a standard thing, though you won't be missing out on much if you don't keep CS:S. Some maps require having Ep1 or 2 installed, however. Those are pretty uncommon, though.
Get a hard drive over 30 gigs for one. and keep CS:S
No, I've backed 1 up to a 750GB spare HDD and deleted some others. It's nice to have a little room on a SSD. Alright, thanks for the help. /thread
You don't need to have them installed.
