I personally hate this closing gap between mobile and desktop. I dont like the way everything is becoming fullscreen, I like being able to customise my desktop and drag windows about which cant be done in a mobile environment. If I want a mobile environment id pick up my tablet and use that.
What are your views?

http instead of https, no arguments other than v
Not giving a fuck, since I'd either rock XFCE or MATE.
I used to be a hardcore KDE fan. Anything I could manage to get KDE on I would do it. Now I really like the niceness of Unity and how it works at the moment. Might be switching back to KDE ;( and thanks Darkwater124!
I stick i3WW onto literally everything, if it had gesture support I'd be really happy with it on a mobile device.
What be this?

i3 Is really awesome.
much more awesome than awesome :)
i3 is a tiling manager, Unity is a full DE. Why even bring i3 up?
Tilling window managers are not really my thing, I can certainly see some use for programming but not really day to day stuff.
Unity is horrible for use on a desktop compared with MATE / Cinnamon / XFCE, of course with it being Linux your free to use anything you like so I don't see much problem unlike the mess that is Windows 8.

I don't know, Unity is quite close to being okay on the desktop but there's just one or two things that seem to ruin it. The Mac OS style menubar for one is just fucking stupid, why is it up there? why is it fucking invisible??

Still too damn bloated compared to what it does.
XFCE or MATE is basically how I want it, although they're missing some features (decent window tiling is funny enough one of them).
