I'm most certainly curious about this.
Does the ATi HD 5870 perform better than the nVidia GTX 295?
It sounds unrealistic that a single GPU performs better than the dual GPUs in GTX295.
If you are able to, please include a benchmark result.

From a thread about the card.
It's a pretty good card and performs just as good/better than a card that's just an x2 with another name

it's really what you prefer.
Both are great

I suggest going to the hardware forum and checking the threads about about this card.
Thanks for the reference, for some reason I overlooked the thread.
The 4870X2 isn't really better than the 295, it's just that the 295 incurrs a memory bottle neck at such a high resolution.

I think I buy one now and another later for Crossfire
as though nvidia stops making high-end cards - take the ati.
