• Stupid Fucking Grinding Noise from Case Fan

I have two Corsair SP120 High Performance fans mounted in a push-pull configuration on an H70. The one mounted to the back of the case, also holding the H70 in, makes a grinding noise. It produces the sound no matter what speed the fan is set to. I'm using all four screws, securely in place. Still have no idea what causes the noise. The only relief comes when I unplug the fan all together. Mind you, it's only one of the two fans, not both.
Sounds like it's grinding on something, try to stop it from grinding on anything.
I'll see if I can isolate it.
I came home from shopping and the noise is gone. I didn't get around to doing anything to it so it must have just moved itself. On a sidenote, all that's left as far as noise goes is the air flow whine from both fans. Is there anyway to reduce that as well?
I bet the bearings are going out. Might be time to replace it

Maybe it was a shitty fan. Defective. Shit happens Easiest way to find out would be to unscrew the fan and have it running while you hold it. If it still grinds while its in your hands then its the fan. If it doesn't I suggest going down to the hardware store and getting nylon washers and putting them where the fan meets the case.
Now it just kind of does it whenever it wants.
I stand by my bearings guess. You could get some of those washers and do my test my while you're installing them
You could try putting some sewing machine/3 in 1 oil in the bearings too.
