I am a total beginner at pc building and was wondering if it would be possible to make a PC
that is capable of gaming, etc within $200? Please also include how I should go about
assembling it, please...
No. simple as that. You need, probably at the very least, $500 for anything that could play Source games at decent FPS
The only way you'd be able to game at that price was if you bought a PS3 or something.
But, I'm no expert. I could be totally off.

Lol, i find it funny that you just increased the budget dramaticly, Yeah you could get a decent PC for $700, and you would definatly be able to run source games on full with a budget like that, as long as you pick good parts,
$200, no computer I'm afraid
for £400 you could get build significantly better than your laptop
