I have a lot of memories of playing on the Playstation 2 with friends, but I have never actually owned one myself. I've thought about getting one to enjoy some classic games. I'm obsessed with getting the best, so I've been wondering which version to get. I'm concerned about getting progressive scan, and to have compatibility with most games (including PS1 games). Is there anything of interest besides the physical size? I've also heard about different models for specific regions. I live in the PAL area, and I've read that UK models are version XXXX3 while the rest of Europe has consoles marked as XXXX4. Does this have any influence?
Get the PlayStation 2 Slim. It has pretty good durability and fixes the disk read error of the fat version.
Do your friends still want their PS2?
