i dunno about all the rest of the world but I would pronounce aygg and ehgg the exact same way.

For one, I've lived in the UK and noticed no difference in pronunciation between American and British accents for "egg". Two, the "really" American pronunciation would be /eɡ/ or /æɪɡ/ if you're in the South.
