It has potential to be fun.
Corneroids, StarMade, Blockade Runner and few other minecraft like space games, all are in Alpha stage.
Probably one or two of them will reach final version.
This is a little too blocky. Just go with StarMade if you want to play a game like this.

People don't do voxels to be retro, no "retro" games used only cubes.
see a space game would be an interesting game on a voxel engine. this is a perfect example of why i think minecraft was lazy and poorly handled. no really great ideas went into it
