How long do bans last on Facepunch?

I see people with 5k+ posts banned left and right, for trivial reasons like shitposting. Are these permanent? Does this mean that their ancient accounts are forever lost?

What I get from these bans is that the general rule is to not be an asshat. Alrighty then.

I think all the different ones at this point are 12 hours, 1 day, 7 days, 1 week, 1 month, and permanent.

i can't remember if i had 10k posts or not but id been here for three years before i got my first ban
