Reading up online it sounds like others might have experienced similar problems to what I'm having, but I could not find someone who seemed to have the SAME problem. The Problem (which seems to be getting worse): A repeated light-popping noise from both left and right speakers. It goes away on higher-volumes, but the volumes are much too high to be practical solution. The problem carries through to headphones plugged into the speakers. I could live with it at first, but seeing as it is getting worse, I would kind of like to stop it. Temporary solution which may be useful to detectives: Turning the right speaker stopped the problem, and also applying pressure the sides stops the problem. My guess would have to be it is an internal issue within the right speaker possibly relating to the cord. Any solutions?
Does if happen if the headphones are plugged into the output device?
It continues if headphones are plugged into the speakers yes.
Yeah I got that, I meant if you plug them directly into the computer
I'm having the exact same problem with the X-530's, I even went out and bought a mother of a sound card to see if it was a problem with my integrated sound. It still haunt's me to this day, the problem appears to reside in the auctual speaker design, my particular speakers being fairly cheap, (~$60) seem to not be sheilded correctly, if at all. The problem could also be RF/other interference, is your modem resting on, or near your Woofer? Maybe you are sitting your phone on your desk? One thing I have not tried yet, is turning off my integrated sound in my BIOS settings. (Now that I can use my new soundcard) I'll get back to you if that fixes anything. Otherwise, good luck trying to fix this shit, I'm going mental over it hah. Edit: I ventured to a new forum, someone had suggested plugging your speakers DIRECTLY into a wall socket, not a powerboard. I would try this, but I only have one single outlet in my bedroom. If you manage to fix the problem, bump this thread, or if it's too old PM me. I'll do the same. Another edit, It could also be EM interference from your computer, maybe try moving your tower away from the speakers.
