I don't understand why the second problem is not the #1 problem.
Almost none of the big games right now have any form of a dedicated server. SVEN is cool if you wanna kick it old school for a while but trying a LAN party with Overwatch or Team Fortress 2 fucking sucks. The best thing I remember was you could fuck with the dedicated server all you wanted to make the evening a bit more entertaining. Moreso, you could cheat like a motherfucker and shim in some of the more bullshit tactics if the game was that lax or you just wanted to play a totally unfair game (think multiplayer Nightfire when you had the weapon set to randomize and you all got the golden gun as the starting weapon) and you were not going to see a global ban.
For a second I thought this would be an article about Lorne Lanning.
