or is it just called different, I made a sandwich with strawberry jam the other day and it tasted like shit to me.
I'm not sure, but I think jam has little bits of fruit in it while jelly doesn't.
Not sure about preserves though.
Jelly is like smooth peanut butter.
Jam is like chunky peanut butter.
Preservatives is like Jam or something.
Jelly is smooth and harder to spread, jam has lumps of fruit in it and is easier to spread.
Dunno about preservatives.
It's pretty much the size of the chunks:
Jelly = Totally Smooth
Jam = Small chunks of fruit and seeds
Preserves = Big chunks of fruit, seeds, and not much "gel".
