Good deal, just sad this game has been pretty neglected of content over the years.
Wouldn't mind an HD treatment of this game, similar to CS:GO.
I always sound like a broken record whenever this game comes up, but I really wish more people would ask Valve about what's going on here.
Valve had so little interest after the Palermo update that the last map fixes had to be done by Fuzzdad, the father of one of the original devs. Here is the thread from summer 2009 discussing a second patch, which as far as I know has been sitting around waiting for approval by Valve since then: [url]http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=893748[/url]

I love dods and I've been playing it since release, but the community is pretty much dead.
There's a handful of realism communities, and the competitive scene is on life support.
Oh well. At least Juke has kept tcn going for as long as he has.
Honestly, it's a pretty decent little game for any price, it really deserved more love than it got. Maybe this'll get some more people playing it.

I might pick it up, always loved the original DoD but never tried Source. Shame about the community though.

only guns that have iron sights are the M1 Garand and Kar98k of the rifleman class. Who uses the sights anyways they are too obtrusive.

If anyone uses the sights on rifles, you're playing rifle wrong.
Gungame is fun on this shit while listening to music.

If you're playing normal k98 style yeah, but they're not perfectly accurate anymore. The sights reduce the spread to zero which is useful for taking out snipers and such.

There are plenty of good servers. The game itself is fun and enjoyable, just not as fun as the original because of the lacking British content. Never understood why they never added it in, the British aspect was what made the old game fun.

I like the original dod more, people still play it so I play it sometimes :v: Dod:S just feels like a scaled down version somehow.

Probably the best gun in the game. My clan's server had it on all maps.
