There should be some rule against charging people to cancel if the reason for the cancellation is because your service is shit.

if you dont get the service you were promised with an agreement you can cancel because they broke the agreement by not delivering the service they promised. OR you can use it as a scare tactic to get free stuff from your provider.

The fact that they bribe you with free stuff if you ever threaten to cancel services is just more proof that cable/telecom companies are ripping you off though.
The fact that those fees are that high is insane. 100+ to cancel? That sounds horrible.
