One day this'll all come back to bite them in the ass, and that day can't come soon enough. Russia has a serious lack of creative and critical-thinking people because they all leave the country the first chance they get. These measures just speed up that process.

This is some tyrannical, Russian type-style bullshit.
This is some tyrannical, Russian type-style bullshit.
Nah, that's just ordinary Russian tyrannical bullshit.
i wouldn't worry too much, when the nukes start flying the internet'll be down anyway
Gee I wonder why they have a bounty out for Tor vulnerabilities.
this should make alot of Russians Blood Boil.
This will just further increase peoples interest in online anonymity. The anonymous army grows larger
i wouldn't worry too much, when the nukes start flying the internet'll be down anyway
The Internet was designed so that it would keep working even after the nukes start flying.

This is not actually true that everyone with more than 3k followers should register. As far as i know, it will only be applied to some medias chosen by this roscomnadzor shit, and they also told that they are not gonna touch guys like video bloggers or such.
As if this should make it any less worrying.
Well, sure it should. While this law is still dumb and all this stuff, but at least it significantly narrows the range of people affected by this law.

Again I feel that the word "draconian" is slightly misused. It should refer to severe punishment for minor offenses, not to merely strict regulation. Regardless, as much as I dislike curbing free speech, I feel that all media should be treated similarly. If a blog has a wide audience and advertises itself as "news", it should be treated the same as any news organization. Most importantly, it shouldn't be able to spew bullshit and label it as fact any more than some TV channel. It's unfortunate but mass media have a responsibility to be accurate, even if they cannot help being opinionated. Though in the case of Russia it's obviously going to be abused for the regime's benefit.

Why doesn't my keyboard have this button?
Why doesn't my keyboard have this button?
Maybe they replaced the red phone with the line to Moscow with a red button on Obama's laptop? :v:
