And Skyrim remaster
I'd totally be game for another Wolfenstein, but another Evil Within would need a lot of changes from the original to capture my interest. I'm game for a good horror game, but the first Evil Within made a lot of missteps if you ask me. One of the problems I had with the original was that the levels didn't really seem to connect all that well. I know it's due to [sp]the game being in a disjointed dream-world fabricated by Ruvik the Grand Magus[/sp], but it seemed like you could have put the chapters in any order and it wouldn't have mattered. So the way I see it, they should either have a more set and sensible order, or run with the disjointed nature of it all and let you play the levels in whatever order you choose by selecting them in a hub world of sorts. Or hell, build an analogue to Resident Evil's Spencer Mansion and have us "sally forth" into different parts of the game world.
surprised the evil within sold enough to get a sequel
I was thinking the same thing. Apparently it made back enough to convince the big wigs to let Shinji Mikami make another, which still kinda surprises me. Though one thing that's pretty damn cool is the Crossbow. If you ask me, they could strip out most of the other guns and have us using that sexy beast for most of the game, and I wouldn't be too disappointed. Also, there's one thing about this style of "survival horror" that kinda grinds my gears, which is random loot drops. Not only does it not make sense, but it means that the resource side of the pacing is all buggered up, where they can't really set up a sense of specific scarcity. For example, if they wanted to have a stretch where you'd be short on ammo for your main guns, but instead give you a lot more scrap so you rely more on your crossbow, they can't really do that since the drop table seems like it's truly random. This kind of thing happens in the new Resident Evils as well, come to think of it... But if nothing else, New ResiEvil and The Evil Within are yet more games that inspire me based on their shortcomings. These kind of "shortcoming" titles always intrigue me, since they give me ideas as to how things could be done differently as to how they turned out in the finished product.
TBH I loved the Evil Within, even though I didn't finish it yet. It's not a masterpiece in horror but it sure beats the latest REs
And Skyrim remaster
I'd like to get Skyrim with DirectX 11 and 64bit support...
Wolfenstein TNO was great, I'd love to play another one. Not to mention their luck with rebooting FPSes has been pretty good so far
I really really want another Wolfenstein game, if it's anything like TNO. One of my favourite games. I just hope they keep the same formula.
Bethesda (the publisher side) are really fucking killing it they let the devs have the power they need to make a proper game and we are getting pure quality because of it easily one of the better publishers out there imho
And Skyrim remaster
redux* you mean it'll have 50% less graphics settings
And Skyrim remaster
I'm just going to dump a large wall of text here so that I can either look back on it and laugh at my stupid paranoia, or reaffirm myself never to buy another bethesda product again. I really really really don't trust bethesda to remaster a game that came out 5 years ago. I'm probably bias as fuck because I absolutely despised fallout 4 and I absolutely love Skyrim. I'm worried that they will pull a George Lucas and say "Skyrim should be just like fallout 4" and severely damage Skyrim's playability. I've bought Skyrim and all the DLC twice. Once on console, and once on PC with the on sale legendary edition. It was well worth it. As you can see I've spent 1,700 hours learning the creation kit and working on project that will probably never see the light of day. My biggest fear is that with the remastered Skyrim, they'll use Fallout 4's "upgraded" engine and as a result, previously created Skyrim mods will not work on Skyrim remastered. Then again, They would have to be absolutely retarded for this to happen because this will effectively put the final nail in the coffin for the aging Skyrim modding community and once again send the message that they don't care for modders. My second biggest would be an unnecessary performance hit. Anyone who's familiar with the gamebyro engine knows that it's an outdated mess, especially in the lighting department. I have a feeling they will redo all their dungeons to look "pretty" ie replace all lighting instances with dynamic lighting so it draws better shadows at the cost of a performance. This is probably the most realistic fear because a remaster usually implies a visual overhaul. Third biggest fear is that they will dare to charge $60 for a game that I've already bought twice, and that everyone has already bought at least once. Best case scenario is charging $40 for it and then giving everyone who already owns skyrim's legendary edition a non-tradable 50% off coupon code, but we all know that won't happen. It's most likely that a Skyrim Remaster is just a rumor. The modding community has already made a remaster of skyrim, from everything to major bug fixes to 4096x4096 textures. If you want a Skyrim remaster, just install mods.
I can't wait until Skyrim 2.0 :downs: [editline]7th June 2016[/editline]
I really really really don't trust bethesda to remaster a game that came out 5 years ago. Just isn't in their blood.
Tbh I could maybe trust them remastering one of their pre-morrowind games for the fans but nothing else. Just isn't in their blood.
I would be fine with a morrowind remaster since it's been a long time and I don't care for morrowind, but that's really selfish of me. Then again, a good morrowind remaster would take more than 3 years to make considering how much is in that game.

Remember Battlecry?
they canned it lol or maybe not idk, but they've voiced concerns about it and its very likely to be cancelled or reinvented as something entirely different at this point
We'll know in roughly a week whether or not that game still exists! Thanks E3.
they canned it lol or maybe not idk, but they've voiced concerns about it and its very likely to be cancelled or reinvented as something entirely different at this point
The last tweet on their twitter account is from July 2015 Game's coming out any day now tbh
Remember Battlecry?
oh yeah the chinese tf2
Skyrim redux seems more for the console users, bringing mods and such to their neck of the woods which would be amazing for them.
as well as the re-launch of the long dormant Prey 2.

Prey 2 has been a source of much speculation recently, with news that the game's domain has been renewed, leading to a currently hidden Facebook page.
holy SHIT
holy SHIT
I'll cry if this is happening. The first game was so awesome and the concept of being a bounty hunter in the second game was even better.
I'm just going to dump a large wall of text here so that I can either look back on it and laugh at my stupid paranoia, or reaffirm myself never to buy another bethesda product again. (words about Skyrim remaster)
Bethesda has already done a rough port of Skyrim to the Xbox One as part of their initial tech research early on in the development of Fallout 4, so a finished port with a PS4 version would be a smart little money spinner.
they canned it lol or maybe not idk, but they've voiced concerns about it and its very likely to be cancelled or reinvented as something entirely different at this point
The studio they founded for it still exists in some vague form, they provided development assistance on Doom.
I'll cry if this is happening. I'm not sure if that's what we're going to see on Monday, though. For all we friggin' know they're just gonna release the 1996 3D Realms version of the first game.

Obviously we'll see what happens come E3 but hopefully it is more horror than generic action shooter.
I loved Evil Within, probably the best recent survival horror game I've played. Hopefully the sequel will be even better.
I just hope they move on from creation engine/gamebryo
Skyrim redux seems more for the console users, bringing mods and such to their neck of the woods which would be amazing for them.
I am not even sure how they would go about selling a remaster to the PC users.
Hyped for both!
god fuck i /NEED/ another wolfenstein in my life
I'll cry if this is happening. The first game was so awesome and the concept of being a bounty hunter in the second game was even better.
I still remember the demo I saw a few years ago. Gave me the feelings of "Blade Runner on Coruscant". I dearly hope something comes out of that. Hell, I still have one of the T-shirts they handed out at Eurogamer when they showed off the demo.
$60
It would be $30 in Russia... Also imagine all those mods from loverslab website running on DirectX11, procedural cu... [sp]kill me please![/sp]
I just hope they move on from creation engine/gamebryo
I doubt it'll happen. Creation lets them create big worlds full of tons of objects and meshes easily and with a comparatively small team. Bethesda's other engine, Id Tech, would be completely unsuitable for this purpose, to say nothing of the resulting world being terabytes in size due to megatextures and the death of mod support.
