I have been concerned about my computer lately, It will be doing anything and the whole thing (Except sound) will lock up and then beep a few seconds later. I would call it more a boop, or a blip then a BEEEEEP though. It doesn't seem to hurt anything, but i thought you guys might know.
Does the screen go black during this period? If so you video card might be crashing.
Happens to me once every few months - same everything, motherboard beeps afterward.
Windows 7 64 bit or 32?
Happens to me aswell, once every two weeks maybe . I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Just a low pitched "boop" suddenly after the computer has been locked up for a few seconds (4-5)
What mobos do you all have?
Happens to me aswell. Seems to happen the most when it gets hot. It'll pause for a few seconds beep pause for another couple seconds beep and continue doing so for at least 30 seconds. Course its happening on my laptop and I don't really need it but It would be nice to know why its happening.
It would be helpful to know what kind of motherboards you guys are using. For all we know, a specific mobo could have overheating or other issues.
