Like, a good price/performance ratio, or it's terrible, or feel free to link me a better one.Gonna get a new computer with in the next 3 months, and since there's not really gonna be any big price drops (as far as I know at least) I'm getting a list together. Also you may be wondering, "Is this guy gonna destroy his computer like he said in his other topic?" No, I'm not. Me and my parents talked out a deal, I won't go to specifics though. So here we go.

Also, could you recommend me a case?

That's the most helpful post I've read all month.
Instead of an AM2+ get a P2 955 OR P2 965

i responded to your question
It is good. I highly recommend the GTX 260's, they perform great and stay quiet and cool. If you overclock it well, it should perform almost identically to stock GTX 275's.
But, I think AM3 CPU would be better like a 945.
For case, Cooler Mater Elite 310/330's are very good for how cheap they are. I bought one and my AMD 965 uses stock cooling with 3 case fans at 3.8ghz. Idle temp = 39c and load = 60-65c.
For those who were in my thread about case suggestions, I did buy an Antec 300, but they were out of stock abruptly and I just decided on a Cooler Master 310.

So I noticed that the Coolermaster 310 comes with its own PSU. It's 420 watts, is that good or should I go for the other Coolermaster 310 and get my own PSU?
(That is, if PSU stands for Power supply unit...)

Also the price of this rig, without the PSU (the lowest link on the list) would cost $680, with the PSU however, it would cost 770. Just for people who don't want to add it all together.
The mobo supports 1800MHz RAM, the one you've chosen runs at 1600MHz. I think you could get another mobo with 1600MHz for a little less.. Though you will probably just save a few bucks.
Maybe get an ATI 5*** card for dx 11.

Own PSU. I don't recommend case ones usually. My case didn't come with one so I wouldn't know how it actually is, but it probably won't be enough for your system.

You wonder why he has 6000+ posts in around 15 months?

A 965 isn't too much more money. They overclock pretty well too.

PSU should be fine for a 260 you really don't wanna go any lower then that. Besides that's a pretty good deal.
Don't trust PSUs that come with cases.
