iPhone 3G - Q / 1 key not wokrking on 4.3.3 firmware

bought this iphone and the repair i was qouted was 65 dollars and i think thats insane for what this is, im guessing its a firmware bug from what ive heard but I havent found a fix

Are you sure the key is not working and that the touch screen isn't registering that area? (Test with a drawing app). Also, if it's a firmware issue it only needs restoring, which is why i assume it's a problem with the touch screen
