It's not okay for the game to be on Steam but it's okay for a book about it to be on Steam.
Hmmm, quite, that's a good idea putting out a documentary of a title on a service platform that it isn't even on. If that's not a "fuck you" then I don't know what is.
While dumb to put it on Steam. I remember Geoff's last book about Portal 2 was a good read. Might buy this.

It's a stupid choice, but it makes sense at least because this was made and published by Geoff, so it's technically not under EA's boundaries. Not to mention I don't think Origin has anything yet to allow for this sort of stuff like Steam does, but I may be wrong.
Humble bundles man.
Presenter. You can't have a proper journalist with ties that close to the industry.
Still, the Final Hours of Portal 2 was an interesting read. If you like Titanfall this might be good(?)
So they're selling the making-of thing on a service that they won't sell the actual game on.
Bravo. Genius. Also why isn't this fucking free, it would at least soften the blow of the money people shelled out for this game.

Because Geoff Keighley loves money. Like, more than standard CEO loving money. He puts money ahead of his dignity, as seen by all his shilling of soft drinks whenever he's on something.
What a tease.
The game is not on steam but a ebook ? wtf

While I find it dumb to sell the E-book on a platform that the game isn't on. The Publisher isn't EA, and it's 2 dollars! You're gonna complain about that? Soften the blow? Titanfall is a great game!

Geoff Keighley is actually a great journalist. Sure he gets exploited by the higher ups (hence how unhappy he looks in the infamous dewrito picture) but he's passionate about the games.

Why did valve allow this to be published on steam?

They really don't care.
