God damn, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hyped for WoD.
Blizzard always do great trailers. Half makes me want to start playing again, I used to play up to WotLK but had a BAD case of being a fucking moron and alt-itis. So many alts as all my friends were split over servers and no-one wanted to move. Wondering how Shamans have fared, last I played in WotLK it seemed they were on the fall in popularity, as they didn't seem as good healers as druids, priests or pallys and their burst damage was evened out into a more consistent stream, which wasn't as fun. They were amazing back in BC and vanilla though, I loved them as a class, even if totems were an annoyance sometime.
I've never played a blizzard game, but I've damn well watched every single CGI cinematic they've made. :v:
Seriously, their CGI is fucking god tier..
That was amazing, so hyped for this. I really do hope that some of this expansion is somewhat difficult, all the others are so easy now.
SoO Heroic is the hardest raid in WoW history.
The area's in general, not so much the raids.
The area's in general, not so much the raids.
They like to keep leveling zones easy so everyone can see them. Though parts of Timeless Isle and Firelands in Cataclysm were pretty hard.
SoO Heroic is the hardest raid in WoW history.
Not really. Stuff on classic and BC was way harder. To the point where some bosses were not killed until they've been nerfed.
Not really. Stuff on classic and BC was way harder.
Not really. Stuff on classic and BC was way harder. To the point where some bosses were not killed until they've been nerfed.
Not really. Statistically Garrosh has the highest amount of attempts before world first kills. Before that it was Firelands Ragnaros then heroic Lich King. Bosses that weren't killed until they were nerfed were simply overtuned, not difficult. There is nothing difficult about not having the stamina threshold to withstand boss attacks. Vanilla fights in particular were far simpler than current content. Parts of AQ40 and Naxx were difficult at the time but most of that difficulty came from managing 40 people at once, an issue of logistics and less about mechanical knowledge or execution. [editline]14th August 2014[/editline] Vanilla difficulty came more from getting the gear and the people together and coordinating everything. Bosses themselves had only a handful of mechanics. Cataclysm Heroics had more complex fights than 90% of vanilla bosses.

I know they're trying to appeal to more people but it ruins it for me.

All but one guild on my realm ended up quitting early this spring, 14/14H or not, because everyone was unsubbing and recruiting new raiders got so difficult.

I hate enhancement, but resto and elemental are pretty fun.
Not really. Stuff on classic and BC was way harder. Also remember that today people have a lot more resources on hand, there are websites that will tell you what to do to your gear, how to upgrade it, and what your attack rotation should be. In classic wow there wasn't too much of that. Also I find it hilarious when people complain about raids being too easy while their deadlybossmods is shouting out what's happening to them and telling them what to do, hey buddy if you want a little more difficulty, why not remove it?
God damn brother. None of this panda/worgen shit. Now it's time for the times to change if you know what I'm sayin'. The real Warcraft's back.
You can say what you want about World of Warcraft. You can't bash their cinematic at all. This one might top Lich King cinematic in my eyes. Lich kings was more emotional for me. Though this one just seems to be on an epic scale.

Heck, Kael alone is one of the most complex encounters of the game. And it was a time where gearing, rotations and guides were a thing, not the mindless fighting you describe from vanilla.

Hardcore raiders use DBM and still die hundreds of times on new bosses before finally getting a kill. Half of the mechanics exist in Raid Finder (aka Easy Mode) Durumu in ToT. Kael'thas was a hard and complex fight but I never said they didn't exist, just countering the idea that Vanilla or TBC were even nearly more difficult than Wrath, Cataclysm, and Mists.
We'll shit, I'll be re-subbing on release.
That Warcraft 3 reference though.
