• How can I speed up Adobe Premiere?
    8 replies, posted
I just bought Premiere 9 today, and I have to say I am very disappointed so far. Everything is very slow. It takes 5 seconds to start a preview once I hit play, and once I hit play my video is all screwed up (Jumping around of videos and skipping.) I know this is a common error with most all of owners, and I've yet to find a solution. Specs Vista AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core Processor ~2.2 GHz 6142MB of RAM Direct X11
What is your graphics card?
Nvidia Geforce GTX 450. Sorry.
Other than your processor, your computer is much faster/bigger than mine, and i can run adobe premiere fine. I'm guessing it's a fixable software problem and that you need to spend some time googling the problem for a solution.
normally it's a RAM problem but it looks like you should have more than enough ram. try to reinstall
Alright. [editline]17th August 2011[/editline] I don't know why, but would Vista be a problem? Also, for some reason I have 3.45 GB of Physical Memory being used, is there a way to lower it quickly?
Eh...
If it is a widespread problem then you need to complain to adobe more than us.
Alright I'll uninstall now. I'll post if it helps. [editline]20th August 2011[/editline] Hold on I'm defragmenting first. I haven't since 2009, because I hate my computer.
