What is the best way for me to upgrade the character skins in Gmod?

I am going to be making a music video soon, and I want the character skins to look good. Well, really, I want everything to look as good as possible. How can I make the textures look better?

I know there are a lot of high-res packs out there, but I am new to this and I don't know which one is best. And there are some for objects and some for people, and it's all a little overwhelming for me. Some help would be appreciated.

The Fakefactory mods greatly increase texture quality, but unfortunately, they ruin all the ragdoll models.:frown:

I shouldn't have put gmod in the title I guess, it really is just a general texture upgrade question.
