Still waiting for LEGO Batman 2.

ARGH, I bought Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion yesterday! Dammit
Anyone able to answer if I'll want SoaSE Trinity or does Rebellion give me everything already?
Yayifications! Carpe Fulgur sale. Been meaning to check out Fortune Summoners.
ARGH, I bought Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion yesterday! Dammit
At least you know to wait until the last day from now on.
At least you know to wait until the last day from now on.
Didn't think it'd go on sale as it's just come out.
Finally got off my ass to get Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat!
If you liked Fallout 3 you'll probably like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. If you do get one of them, get Shadow of Chernobyl.
Don't miss SMB or STALKER. Or whatever else they said here. [editline]18th July 2012[/editline]
If you liked Fallout 3 you'll probably like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
If you liked Fallout 3 you'll probably like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. If you do get one of them, get Shadow of Chernobyl.
This is far from true. STALKER is a much harder game to get into than fallout, much more niche of a market. Fallout is nuclear wasteland with a side of carnival fun and humor. STALKER is nuclear "wasteland" with a side of hardcore difficulty and horror atmosphere.
STALKER will chew you up, spit you out, and laugh at you while you're crying trying to figure out how the military is killing you with a turret right after you start the game.

I still haven't even reached half way through STALKER: SoC because the game is just violently sodomizing me at every turn. The wildlife fucks you up something fierce, the locals are all angry bastards with godlike aiming ability. And finding a good weapon early on is pretty much a no go until you hit one of the first undergrounds. Hard to get into, but so damn satisfying to beat a main mission.
Anyone able to answer if I'll want SoaSE Trinity or does Rebellion give me everything already?
If I'm not mistaken, Rebellion is a sequel cleverly disguised as a standalone add-on. I had SoaSE and the Entrenchment add-on, and recently just got Trinity. It's a great game either way. Rebellion just adds more to it. Customizing your race and new capital ships, sounds incredible. Shame my PC can't handle it.
stalker is fuckin amazing but the first few hours of shadow of chernobyl are so ungodly difficult confusing and ass rapey that it pushes most people away if you stick it out past the first 5 hours it gets addicting as hell [editline]18th July 2012[/editline] also quicksave is your friend
Thief 1 is awesome, Thief 2 is a refined Thief 1, Thief 3 still isn't bad, but it's taken a dive. On the other hand, graphical update. ^in case someone's interested but doesn't want to buy the whole pack. Overall, especially the older games are king of the stealth genre, and have a really interesting magitech universe with its own mythos and everything. Just don't think you can play it Assassin's Creed style. 1+2 are also one of the few games with slow health potions rather than instant ones, which makes combat a lot more dangerous.
What? They're not even remotely similar.
They're similar in more ways than you'd think, but Stalker is harder by a ton. There's a lot of differences, but if you liked one you're most likely going to like the other.

STALKER is one of the few games these last couple of years that has actually done First-person Shooting really well. Combat is lethal, gunplay is visceral, atmosphere is dense and survival-oriented strategy rewarding.
My wallet! Noooo!!

I've been thinking about picking up STALKER. Should I go for the bundle or?
Thats 15GB of stalker games I have to download.
I've been thinking about picking up STALKER. Should I go for the bundle or?
You definitely should. STALKER is a really groundbreaking series. Anybody who enjoys a challenging shooter with lots of freedom and dense atmosphere, and can deal with sometimes staggering difficulty as a consequence of the game not mollycoddling you, will love STALKER. EDIT: And the mods... all those mods *yipe*
I've been thinking about picking up STALKER. Should I go for the bundle or?
get the bundle, you'll appreciate the fixes and cool stuff of each new game much more that way
Nothing here that I'm after.
