Absolutely gonna pick this up. So many fond memories of taking turns playing it with my older brother and his future wife :v:.
I just hope they don't dumb it down to hell for today's audiences. Part of the magic is the fucking sheer frustration at the true trial and error, exact timing gameplay.

That is actually a decent question, since the HD remake of Stranger's Wrath was given to those who already owned it.

This isnt just a re-texture, its a whole new re-imagining.
So I dont expect that JAW will make it free.

Then again, Stranger's Wrath was just a bit of a graphical touch-up, it still used the same engine, pre-rendered cutscenes, voice-overs, sounds and just about everything besides the lighting, textures and foliage. This is a full 3D remake with just about everything being entirely new besides the level design (and even that might be changed a bit, from what I've heard).
We'll see, but I'd also prefer to still have the old version for nostalgia's sake as well.

The voices and sounds in the footage are place holders while the proper ones are being worked on.

They said in the Eurogamer conference that "before anyone asks, yes we did add quiksave"
And they did confirm that they will also be making Abe's Exoddus in HD if this does well
I'm pretty happy to hear this.
I always wanted to try these games. I feel like I missed out by not playing these.
