Oh man I've been waiting for a thread like this.
There's this place in my city called Jimmy P's and they serve the very best wagyu burgers I've ever had.

The best part is that it's also a butcher shop so you can get some cuts to take home as well. The reason this is so amazing is that wagyu is just slightly less tasty than dog. So recently I've finally found a substitute so I can start cooking some really nice Guangdong/Guangxi and Vietnamese recipes like this one, which is braised dog cooked in a clay pot with cloves of garlic, chilies and cinnamon (anise would have been better, just fyi).

Cat is so much harder to find a replacement for though, and forget about getting any kopi luwak in the states.

Have you ever tried it? Cat isn't for everyone, I'll admit it, it's definitely an acquired taste.
Dog on the other hand taste's like a superior version of wagyu, so even someone who hasn't tried it would like it, as long as they already like good beef and lamb.

I used to be curious of dog meat until I watched a few documentaries about dog farms in china. Gross, sad shit.
