I come to you again facepunch with another useless thread, no google didn't help me. This is for a friend as well, he plays games like.. well he really only plays Garry's Mod, but he wants to expand out a little more like Black Ops and such. His current computer now is the... [img_thumb]http://i.dell.com/images/global/products/root/desktop_studio_hybrid_295.jpg[/img_thumb] :v: But he's buying all sorts of shit and he refuses to make a facepunch account, so he wants me to do this for him :sigh: Alas on topic: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128394 -- That's the motherboard he's getting, that's all he picked out so far.
Be more specific, budget and current specs are appreciated.
Get a GTX 460 and an AMD 955 both for under $300 total. That's low budget for me.
If his motherboard is too old then it might not be compatible with the CPU. And if he upgrades too much with old RAM, wouldn't that bottleneck his system?
Give us more information, for all we know he only has AGP.
Updated OP.
Uhh, that system isn't upgradeable, maybe the RAM and HDD but that would be it.
Oh, maybe that's a little misleading but I'm saying that's the only reason why he can play Garry's Mod and hardly anything else. He's buying new parts and such and he wanted to know a low budget GPU and a CPU.
I mean you can find a low-budget GPU that can play Garry's Mod pretty easily but it's probably going to be bigger than the entire computer
