Recently got an SNES, a controller, and Super Mario World for $25 and now I want to know what games I should look into getting.
Chances are I've already played most that will be suggested but whatever, I need to restock on my collection. (Everything was sold at a garage sale without my consent long long ago)
Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team
Final Fantasy VI
Breath of Fire
Earthbound
Zombies ate my Neighbours
Donkey Kong Country (all three of them)
Super Mario All-stars
Jurassic Park
Super Metroid
Zelda: A Link to the Past
Donkey Kong Country
TMNT: Turtles in Time
Alien 3
Final Fantasy VI (III) and Chrono Trigger.
Also try out Super Castlevania IV if you haven't already. The best Castlevania game is existence.
Star Fox (Satisfaction may be better on an overclocked emulator depending on your personal taste)
my personal favourite snes games are Yoshi's Island, A Link To The Past, Super Metroid and Donkey Kong Country 3.
Yoshi's Island in particular. i generally consider it to be my favourite game of all time. if you're a fan of Super Mario World and you've never played it, i can pretty much guarantee that you will enjoy it.

oh and Super Mario All-Stars is also a no brainer if you're into mario.
earthbound
if of course you are rich.
Prince of Persia (only the first from Konami & Arsys Software, PoP2 from Titus Software is chockful of glitches and just like the NES port of the first)
Final Fantasy games (haven't tried them myself, I may have to someday)
SimCity (..Oh yes, you can relax from SimCity 2013 and latter which EA ruined!)
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Final Fantasy/Chrono Trigger-style RPG)
Aero the Acro-bat
Kirby Super Star
Super Castlevania IV
I know some other SNES games, but a few of them deserve more to be pirated (or otherwise never played) but I can't specify their names.

That game shouldn't look as good as it does.
That game shouldn't look as good as it does.
It isn't, really. Plus, there's talk about how the special moves don't work when you want them to and the shielding... Just play B.O.B. instead and remind story-mode makers to give players the power to battle in their own orders. (I was also going to suggest Out of This World & Flashback, but they're available as re-releases)
But oh, don't forget about the self-advertisement and enormous ego including Origin News!
yoshis island
it literally owns
Secret of Mana

Those smiles.., they make me feel uneasy. It's as if they were forced to smile or else EA'd destroy Shaquille's career. (Myself, it's more of a "Thanks for playing our fighting game expecting something good, dumbasses! Too bad Eric Chahi wasn't around to see this.")
..Actually, it's good Eric Chahi was away. He doesn't have to see Electronic Arts' disaster since Wizard of Oz (SNES) and Dark Castle (GEN/MD)
My list:
Wild Guns - Excellent shooter taking place in a steampunk western, with a shitton of explosions
Super Street Fighter 2- Obvious Choice for Obvious Reasons, and it's great with muliple people
Mortal Kombat 2+
F-Zero
NBA Jam
Super Mario All-Stars
Megaman X
Contra 3
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Kirby's Dreamland 3
Kirby Superstar
Final Fight
Gradius 3
Yoshi's Island
Earthbound
Super Bomberman
And If you've managed to mod your SNES to play Super Famicom gems:
Dragon Quest 1&2
Dragon Quest 3
Dragon Quest 5
Dragon Quest 6
Super GameBoy adapter.
Super Punch-Out!!! Not as fondly remembered as Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!! but I think it's better personally.
Super Ghouls N' Ghosts
Breath Of Fire 1 and 2
Megaman X 1-3
Secret of Mana
Secret Of Evermore
Earthworm Jim 1 and 2
Lufia 2(the original was OK, the sequel was quite a bit better)
Demon's Crest
Lufia 2.
Megaman X.
Super Mario RPG.
EarthBound.
Doom Troopers.
Yoshi's Island
Super Mario Kart
Ys III: Wanderers from Ys
Donkey Kong Country (all three of them)
At the very least DKC2. 3 is my personal favorite but 2 has the best level design and music.
Super Mario Bros All-Stars.
Megaman X.
Terranigma
Front Mission
Legend Of Mana 3 (fanmade translation of Seiken Densetsu 3)
Super Castlevania 4 is my favorite SNES game also it got a kick ass sound track

You need a second controller. Also NBA Jam, that game is the literal shit.
Wolfenstein 3D, despite some censorship, it's still the same kickass game it is on PC.
Breath Of Fire II
A Link To The Past
Starfox
A Starfox 2 reproduction cart if you want to spend $100+.
Doom, if you can deal with the control delay. The music makes up for it, and it's the only port of the time to not have levels cut down.

It also comes with a 30-level campaign, similar to that of Spear of Destiny. Adding to that, some SOD bosses and new items are added... Two cons are, you cannot sneak up on enemies (they simply stand still till they see you) and the levels are different to make up for the CPU.
Did you know the campaign is called the 2nd Encounter and Original Encounter? (former on Macintosh, latter on 3DO and Apple IIGS, all three programmed by Interplay's one and only Bill/Becky/Rebecca "Burger" Heineman)
Super Castlevania IV, Ghosts 'n Goblins (any of these), Yoshi's Island, All the Donkey Kongs, and so forth.
