Just played the demo. It's pretty good.
well they are 16k already and set to anally destroy the 50k target, which can only be a good thing considering how the development has been going recently.
Kickstarters with Demos of the game? I like this idea. Hope more people do it. Really encourages you to fund the project.

This is a kickstarter project that is worth your money and time. They do a great job and offer us a cool demo. This is truly an X-Com like game.
