Hello,
I have a problem connecting my 360 to the internet via wired. I use the same ethernet cable for my PS3 and when I plug it into the back of that it connects to the internet straight away but when I plug it in the 360 I get the message "Can't detect network hardware".
I have reset my router, hard reset it, entered 360 mac address, turned off router for 30 seconds and still can't connect? Help?
Update: Manually entered my internet settings, Used the same MAC and IP address as my PS3, still isn't connecting, even tried giving the 360 its own IP address.
As much as I hate to say this, did you try calling tech support (not us)? Other people may have had this problem.
If it says "Can't Detect Network Hardware", that sounds more like your actual networking hardware in your 360 is dead.
When you plug the cable in, does the link light on the router blink?
