Made me think about SteamOS again, and how Valve working in the living room (or trying to at least), meaning they also have a market in both desktop and TV.
Keeping it gaming, outside of corperation ecosystems and what not, would people rather buy an Xbox for the TV experiance, or will people hold out and hope that steam living room isn't one big flop?
The xbox gets cheaper over time, making it a worthwhile decision depending on what you value in video games and the hardware associated with it.

Like I'm glad they're coming to understand that a console is hardly in competition with the PC now and that they're two separate things.

There's no reason other than developers locking this feature on purpose for this not to exist, even worse is that most computers would handle this without losing fidelity like some games require on consoles, and even then there are ways around it for quite a few games.
