I'm not sure what it is, my best guess is my nvidia 9800GTX is starting to fall apart. The screen goes all wonkydoolah and then it freezes or completely loses connection.
It started happening 2 weeks ago, first when playing games like skyrim but now it even happens when booting. I updated my nvidia drivers but it didn't help. I did a systemrestore to before the windows update which might cause this, still nothing.
I'm running on vista 32bit.

Forgot to mention, I got a "nvlddmkm stopped responding" one time.
Update: I uninstalled the nvidia drivers and let windows install the default drivers. At least I can use that pc again to browse the internet until I manage to fix it.
The card was overheating and because you did nothing about it it's now fucked. All you can try doing is to try cool it down but i think the damage is done
