Wow look at all those short range and slow moving weapons, I wonder if a gun on the back of one of those ships would be able to hit a target on the front?
But my favourite bit has to be the space fighters that move slower than airliners.

why the fuck set your game in space if you have no sense of scale
I've always shared the same sentiment, but thats why I'm glad Egosoft has been modder friendly since X2. XRM did wonders for fixing that in X3AP.

It is Egosoft tradition to release a broken and unbalanced game and then let the community fix it for them.
It's more of a timescale issue than a problem with the scale, size-wise, of these games.
Every X-game has been rather slow paced in the flight and economics portions of the game, but this goes for combat as well; projectiles move slowly, ships move rather lazily across the vast distances between ships and engagements between capital ships can drag on for a very long time.
X-games have never been about twitch-shooting, but about thinking out your approach, which shows in it's combat pacing.
It's fine with me, but I agree speeding things up a bit would benefit the game's combat. Thankfully, if you don't agree with how fast combat is, it's been pretty easy to customize it to your liking in previous games.
