It's about someone's passion and endurance after suffering from Carpal tunnel syndrome. The "lol videogames" argument doesn't hold a lot of water when TI4 had an almost 11 million dollar prize pool and countries like South Korea are already treating esports with as much glamor as any other kind of sport.
The "lol videogames" argument is about as antiquated as "He's surfing the web on his home computer, what a total nerd!" or "He's making money on YouTube, what a loser!"
Just because playing video games doesn't look impressive from an outside perspective (someone staring at a screen and quickly hitting buttons isn't that impressive) doesn't mean that the games themselves are as simplistic or that you don't have to put in a lot of effort to keep up with the competition. Them playing videogames and Average Joe playing videogames are as incomparable as Average Joe writing a letter VS someone writing a best seller.
