• Disply driver continually having problems (Nvidia)

My problem began with MechWarrior Online. I had multiple play sessions end in artifacts, alt-tabbing, and getting a message from Windows telling me my display driver crashed. Now, within the past three days that is, my computer first went through a BSoD, then another today; with the .dmp yielding that it was most likely due to nvlddmkm.sys. After a little search engine research, I decided to try deleting my drivers with certain programs. First I tried deleting them with Treexy's Driver Fusion, then reinstalled the drivers. Rebooting into Windows looked ok until it was done loading, just after the Windows symbol screen my monitor goes black. I tried it again with Guru 3D's DDU and have the same problem. I am currently using safe mode with my DVI cable plugged into my GTX470 using a VGA adapter driver, so I don't think it is a problem with my card. Also I am running Windows 7 and did both driver wipes in safe mode. Does anyone have any idead as to what I need to do or should try next?
Artifacts is more of an indicator of card problems than driver problems, also driver problems usually only appear after making hardware changes or sometimes software changes. I suggest you check the temperature of your card with HWMonitor. If that seems normal then the best thing to do would be a clean install of Windows, that way you can be sure if the problem is hardware or software.
Well, I know for sure the temp. is good and that everything inside my PC is clean. But I just reverted back to an older "Game Ready Driver" (Version R331.65) and now it is working at least for using just Windows, I have yet to play a game.
