vinyl record players are much more common than tapes still since tapes are a pain in the ass and deteriorate much easier since the tape is so sensitive to any kind of use and liquid.
Yep, you can get a fairly decent record player these days for under $100 on Craigslist. Apparently. Ajacks manages it, anyway.
