Physical vs Digital Task/Event agenda, management, trackers, etc.

I have lots of shit that I need to be doing but always blank out at the moment I need to do them, so I'm trying to find reliable system that helps me manage all that stuff.
For those of you that uses one or has ever had to use one, let me know which systems you'd recommend. Or for those that haven't used one or never needed to, let me know how you managed without one.

[sp]I forgot a "both" option, so if that applies to you just pick the digital system choice[/sp]
I use a digital calendar and Google Keep as my central note headquarters. I also have a small notebook and pencil next to my ass cheek for any quick notes.
If any of the notes in my ass cheek notebook are needed long-term, I add them to my digital notebook at the end of the day.
I use both physical and digital systems. I lean towards digital, however. In terms of physical; I tend to use stickynotes for small and immediate stuff while I keep them on my office desk. For digital, I tend to prefer not having as much physical baggage when I'm travelling so I use stuff like Google Calendar on my phone to keep track of appointments; birthdays and meetings with reminders set in place. The Google Assistant (depends on what device you own) can be quite useful for smaller reminders and quick notifications for; say, shopping reminders and the like.
That, and I have trouble writing for extended periods of time with my hands. So using a phone is god-send for me.
I use both, alternating depending on need, but I mostly do digital.
I'm fully sunk into the Apple ecosystem, so I use most of the default apps. For note-taking I use the standard Notes-app which is connected to my work-email and my personal email, so I can access the stuff I write down everywhere and share it with ease if I need to. For quick to-do's and shopping lists I use the Reminders app. Larger, more project-related things or long-term to-do's I use Trello (set as my homepage in Chrome across all devices), which I can't recommend enough. Calendar's, same there, just the default app connected to work/personal so I can sort my calendar neatly.
Sometimes I use physical notes though, or physical lists. Mostly for sketches, storyboards etc. Although less and less so, recently I've started doing sketches directly on my tablet instead.
At the office, I’m a big user of post-it notes when I need to temporarily make a note about a particular job. However, I keep my work journal in digital form. It allows for me to make quick changes on the fly, I can simply copy and paste my journal into an email when my boss needs to know what work I have done, and I type significantly faster than I can write. I can also search back through my journal from months ago with much ease, if I need to. Tl;dr digital is very flexible.
Of course we also use Google Calender and Excel spreadsheets for tracking client appointments, job and mail-out registers etc.
I find digital calendars kind of annoying to use, so this year I bought myself a daily planner and desk pad calendar. I feel they've made me more productive and less forgetful.
