if you use 3x1 portrait how do you have your monitors arranged? the right monitor in my setup has either terrible view angle or colour shift, it seems like it might be better to move the monitors slightly to the left as if i lean over to the right a bit its much better without affecting the centre/left monitor
Angle the two end monitors inward toward yourself. If you line them up flush it doesn't look right.
Also a picture would be helpful to see if your desk is big enough.
my desk is 1600mm so its defiantly wide enough

the more i angle the right panel in the worse the colour shift gets but too litle and the view angle is fucked up on that monitor, i have been sitting a little off centre and it works quite well i guess cheapo dells dont like being viewed from the bottom
I don't use 3x1 portrait, but I have the same monitor (assuming it's 22") in portrait. Make sure that the contrast/brightness settings are the same on all of the monitors. Also, don't the 2 bezels annoy you to fuck?

Most monitors are worse at vertical viewing angle than horizontal.
Only time I'd set up monitors in a portrait orientation is for some sort of permanent fixture designed to show videos constantly.
It's just not practical for gaming or typing, which rules it out for me o use for anything other than showing off.
Looks horrible, instead run 2 20" monitors in portrait with a 30" monitor, Ajacks does it. I love his setup. It's amazing.
Oh and if you decide to stick with it run with 2 in portrait and the center one in landscape. That way you can use chats on the center / big image threads and other threads on the portrait one. :science:

I am actually planning on doing this next summer when I have my money saved up for a complete PC revamp (again), either getting a Apple Cinema Display 30" or a Dell 30".

No matter how you do it multiple screens are going to have two bezels. It's not that bad, really... especially with bezel compensation.
OP, why are you running them in portrait? Seems a bit unnecessary/impractical to me. I wouldn't think there would be any problems though. Ask Ajacks... he's got a setup similar to yours.

Yeah, but it is a bit different when you have a monitor large enough to have a full size application on it.

bezels dont really bother me colour shift does though. gonna just save for wqhd and run wqhd centre 2 portrait at the side, should take maybe a month to get the money together powersaving

running them portrait because thats all sc2 would recognise
how big is that hanns g? or is the monitor at the side quite small.
i havnt really looked yet but i think the selection for wqhd monitors is kinda limited, basiclly dell only as the apple ones have shit response times iirc
The Hanns g one is 28" and the Dell is 22"
