Hello!
I am having some pretty bad problems with the Plantronic Gamecom 780.
The brunt of the problem is that when I have the Dolby Digital software supplied with it running, any program related to sound will freeze and crash before it even gets to play any sound, the software affected (that I have used) is: Media-Player Classis Home Cinema (Came with K-Lite pack), Mediamonkey, Windows sound settings, Realtek sound settings, Flash running videos/sound (from youtube for example).
In the case of Realtek sound manager and windows sound manager, once either one has crashed for the first time, both of them will not execute until I reboot. When I try and use Windows Sound Manager, and it freezes and crashes, the Gamecom software will freeze as well, being unable to even process-kill it.
When I tried unplugging the headphones, rebooting and killing the gamecom software process, it will play music but has fits of crackling. When I try and play a video after (with gamecom software still not running), it will freeze much earlier than it did before, then if I try playing music again, it will freeze too.
I semi-suspect that k-lite codec pack may have something to do with it, but I will see if that is the case.
If someone could help, it would be very much appreciated, I can't find anything to do with this on the internet.
