Hey, so today at work I picked up some crappy plastic bag and was holding for about 2 min. it has 2 little holes in bag to make ventilation or something, only then I saw on bag it says " Warning! Contains asbestos ..... " So I just threw that shit out.
How long do you need to be near that crap to die?
for a start i wonder why you were nonchalantly holding a plastic bag for 2 minutes without even bothering to check it's contents... but you're not going to die. asbestos becomes a problem if you breathe in the fibres, like when it's being taken out of buildings and such, just sitting in a plastic bag and you being close to it won't do you any damage.
you'll be fine but you shouldn't be throwing stuff like that in the bin, depending on the amount of asbestos in the waste it may have to be treated specially as hazardous waste.
Strange how my grandmother used to iron on asbestos made boards and now people won't touch it with a barge pole.

Well she probably doesn't want cancer.

the heatproof boards are pretty safe as long as you don't snap them, it's the full on fibrous stuff they use in industrial insulation that's more dangerous.
It was like a 8 little tubes covered with that asbestos thing for tractor pipes or something.
And I threw it not in the bin but corner of storage :D
My entire garage roof is sheeted with asbestos, so long as its undisturbed you're all good. As for exposure, I doubt such a small amount will do you any harm. My dad used to work part time on a builder's yard and was cutting asbestos up with a saw without gas masks, breathing in the dust from it. The worrying thing is that it's coming up to the time where the effects may begin to show themselves.
in the time it took you to type out an answer that was completely useless you could have gone to google and found out what asbestos is yourself.
Asbestos is a set of six naturally occurring silicate minerals exploited commercially for their desirable physical properties. They all have in common their asbestiform habit, long, (1:20) thin fibrous crystals. The inhilattion of asbestos fibres can cause serious illnesses, including malignant lung cancer, mesothelioma (a formerly rare cancer strongly associated with exposure to asbestos), and asbestosis (a type of pneumoconiosis). Since January 1, 2005, the European Union has banned all use of asbestos and extraction, manufacture and processing of asbestos products.
Snort it up your nose, Ultimate high.
Asbestos has great property's. Its just to bad that it is lethal when broken into pieces.
You really need to spend hours working with the stuff to develop any illness from it.
