Windows 7 little window preview thingy, how do you disable it? - Hardware & Software

Yeah. That thing: [img]http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/4899/firstpicturewow.png[/img] How do I kill it? Preferably without installing crap but whatever. Just got this and having spent a total of 15 minutes on Windows 7, this is so far the only thing that's bothering me that I haven't been able to figure out right out.

Go to the taskbar properties and turn off Aero Peek

That's seriously awesome feature atleast when you got multiple windows open of the same application.

That's not it. Aero Peek is where you can hover your mouse over the far left of the task bar and you can see the Desktop. Anyhow, I don't like it because firstly, I don't want little images cluttering up my screen whenever I move my mouse over the task bar. Secondly, I want my shit hidden when it's minimized- completely hidden. The titles on the taskbars tell me what it is, I don't need anything else. Thirdly, I don't want to be explaining to me grandmother how to do something and have a little tile of my minimized porn site pop up.

How am I supposed to distinguish between two different Explorer windows? I'll take names thank you.

I'm saying that having a bunch of huge ass thumbnails of the window doesn't help me at all because it just clutters everything up. Either way I don't group my windows so I get separate task bar entries with the window name right where I can see it (the pre-superbar method). But I still get the stupid thumbnails if I hover over the task bar entry.

Well has been stated how to turn it off ... Personally I like them, I was just pointing out they have the names as your post seems to infer they don't

Also, Justice's link would be what you are looking for.
