Budget: $1000 Country: USA Goal: Development of this New Indie Game (C++, HTML, PHP, MySQL, jQuery/JavaScript, Java) Programs: Audacity, Visual Studio 2010, MineCraft, NetBeans (for the online java applets), Windows 7, notepad++ What This money is going to: A desktop processing unit, monitor, keyboard, speakers I'm building a game. My lenovo $299 black friday (2010) laptop is dying fast. I need a companion that will Endure many years into the future. Run fast. The project I'm working on wont be graphically intensive. I don't think any of the processes will be that intense (it's a 2D game) The most intense process I'll want this computer to run in MineCraft max rez. (which I don't think is a lot for normal desktops) I have an old version of the game and I've recently released a "come back" version. to revive old fans and get some more dragged in. I really DON'T imagine making this some HUGE MEGA GAMING COMPUTER. So any ideas for what I should go for? I'm a 100% software guy. I know very little about hardware.
Well you should defiantely make a desktop and never buy cheap parts from china [editline]16th December 2011[/editline] That's my motto for building"never buy from china"
