Nvidia 660ti only picking up one monitor at a time, refuses to use HDMI ( HELP )

Hey, about five months ago I had a funny problem where my two monitors wouldn't work at the same time. This is where it gets odd, the one that is plugged in through VGA only works if a HDMI is plugged into my GFX card also.. But this is where it gets super weird.. That HDMI doesn't even need to be connected to anything? It could be in my mouth for all the GFX card cares and my monitor will work, just aslong as I have my HDMI plugged in. Now if I put my main monitor in VGA and my TV in VGA, neither of them work, if I disconnect one then the other works, but neither of them work if my HDMI isn't plugged in......

It's doing my head in?! how should I fix this? I just got my Oculus Rift and I am dying to use it, but because of this problem, it won't detect the HDMI.
