Still amazes me how far Runescape has come graphicwise.

I remember logging on with the client for the first time in years to the aftermath of the Guthix Dies event. The lag was horrendous.
browsers are really holding it back nowadays it just looks like a 3ds game
For a time there was a HTML5 version of the game engine in development, though it suffered performance issues due to browser limitations again. They're working on a C++ game engine though, called Runescape NXT. Supposedly with HTML5's graphics and better stability than the Java one, it miiiiiight get announced at Runefest this year. The game has changed an absolute ton over the years, it's evolved to be quite nice imho. edit: the HTML5 version is still playable, it just runs like ass on pretty much every system.
From what I understand the CEO who replaced the original guy did nothing but run the game into the ground but I think I heard that guy stepped down?
I'd still waste my life away on this game if they hadn't made the EOC, the new areas, quests and bosses look awesome. Only reason I played for the last year was for pking and staking anyway.
I have nothing but respect for this game, but it's just not what I fell in love with circa 2005
you do know you can disable eoc
It's still nothing like pre 2013 scape
I just don't understand why there are people who throw these big hissy-fits over EoC.
