• uTorrent seems to keep "tripping over itself".

So over the past few nights, I've been attempting to download a torrent totalling about 600 individual files, but every time I come back in the morning to check on it, it keeps telling me that the files are in use by another process (which they aren't, since I have EVERYTHING ELSE closed down that might even begin to do this). So can someone give me a rough idea of what may cause uTorrent to do this, and if it really is it just tripping itself up?
If your trying to access the files try closing utorrent.
Make sure Utorrent isn't opened twice.
Only one process running, it's downloading to my external drive (M: in this case), if that makes any difference, which nothing should be accessing unless I tell it to. Also this is the only torrent it's happened with, not any of the other ones that were also downloading at the same time.
Try changing the download directory then restarting the torrent. Copy the files already downloaded into this new location. Start the torrent. It should check the files in the new location against the list given in the original torrent and, hopefully, you'll be good.
I'll try that when I get home (if it's done it again or not finished.)
I knew it nige, you are a pirate!

Sounds like you have a stubborn anti-virus doing a background scan.
If I remember correctly, I got this when the hard drive I was downloading to changed it's letter from D to G, thus invalidating the filepath set for µtorrent.
its your antivirus scanning the files.
It wasn't an antivirus. I renamed the folder to <folder>s and reloaded the torrent, set it to that folder and it finished fine.
