Do you have an Item that cannot be replaced because you have a bond with that product? And even though it may be broken (if it is) and you buy the same thing, but well, fixed but you don't get the same value?
What I mean by this, for example... I have a PS2 that I don't want to replace (there's a problem with connecting controllers), and I feel like if I buy another PS2, it wont have the nostalgic value. Even though it still plays games, you know what I mean?
Just because you have the money to get the same thing, the problem is... That it's new...
You will soon adapt, but many people wont get rid of something just because it's broken. (RIP - Sega Genesis... I built a tombstone for you buddy!)
Anyway, do you have an Item that you keep around? Games, CDs, etc.
Or do you feel like if you buy the same thing, it wont be as good.
Post below!
I keep around a gamecube. Only because I grew up with it and all; had thousands of hours on super smash brothers melee. Now I don't think I play it at all.
My old, scratched up transparent purple gameboy color with the battery cover missing. I played that thing throughout the majority of my childhood, playing pokemon on a near-daily basis. Would be devastated if anything happened to it.
I still play Pokemon Crystal on it from time to time, it's the best.

Remember when Beanie Babies were fucking huge (figuratively)? Well, my grandma jumped on that train super hard for a long time. Really early on she bought me this husky one which is the only stuffed animal I have on display anymore besides the plush Gordiant I won in some Lost Planet 2 contest. :v:

What is this thing? I don't know, but I thought it looked cool. I bought this from some kid in elementary school for a dollar. He made it out of tinfoil and make stuff like this all the time, to the point where he carried rolls of tinfoil paper in his backpack. It's survived three moves, somehow. Just another neat thing I keep on my shelf that I've had forever.
I've replaced multiple parts and repaired my original PlayStation because I love the fuck out of that system. I also took all of my original games to the rental store and had them resurfaced so I could play them flawlessly without stuttering or lag or anything.

I've got a couple of these little bastards lying around from when I first started Warhammer. Got 'em from me uncle.
When I was 5 or 6 I would run around collecting acorns. I still have a couple of them in a box with other stuff like feathers I found. :downs:
Besides a couple of stamp and coin collections my grandpa gave me when I was younger I've got a few old car replicas and a few old lego boxes from the 90's, haven't even been opened :)
All my stuffed animals from my childhood.
Also, wish i didn't part with my old Compaq from the 90s.
got a coke can here that I drank in 2011
My Nintendo 64, that I've had since i was a little kid.
I have a handful of vintage gaming consoles, a big screen TV from the 90s, and a bunch of other old stuff in my house. I think we even have our old 90s era computer around as well boxed up in the attic, along with most of the 5 1/4 and 3 1/2 floppy disks that were a part of that era.
My old GBA and copy of Deus Ex.
I have a teddy bear that was apparently given to me when I was just a few days old. It may be old, ugly and not that good smelling anymore.
But I'll bring hell to anyone who tries to harm him.
A deck of my rarest original pokemon cards.

Even though it's in plain sight, I never even noticed it until like a month ago or two.
My baby teeth are still around here somewhere....
My nintendo 64. first gaming console I ever played. If only I could find my ocarina of time :(

I haven't seen them in a good while as they are lost somewhere in the apartment, but I have an old Subway Token from back when a train ride used to cost $1.25 and a lucky Brazil Nut. The Brazil Nut was from when I was much younger and has a story of questionable interest:
I thought you could just help yourself to the nuts they had on display in Pathmark. I tried to bite into it and hurt my mouth. I asked my mother if she could open it for me. She got upset with me and reprimanded me about how stealing is wrong. She forbade me from eating it and said I had to carry it around to remind me that stealing is wrong. Over the years I had a few strokes of good luck while carrying it around. Mostly dumb stuff like finding a fiver in the street or the latest and hottest game actually being in stock for rent at the video store.
