Recommended programs for generating text (like photoshop etc.)

Hello

I want to ask you guys, about which of the photoshops or programs do you recommend for me to use to generate text for an image.
I want to do it sorta 3D or just normal text and make it look like it's been shot, near explosions and stuff, bocuse i need to create my friend an image for some
strategy game (battles and war and stuff) and i would like to have the same or even better text that the logo of the game is made of.

And because of that program, we have the term "photoshop" as well. Plenty of people use it and it makes sense
